It’s been a good minute since our last update because we’ve been busy launching into the development of our first mobile game! Our team has gone through 8 sprints so far to perfect our mechanism and game play. Now we’re focusing on the fun details like game art, assets, and character management. We’ve also been evolving RAWR’s brand and credibility. Check out our social media accounts and give us a follow! Building both our first mobile game and the Rawr for a Reason brand are very collaborative processes. We designed it this way because we want to support indie game dev and deliver products our community will enjoy. To manage everyone’s input and progress successfully, we have been using reddit as a development tool. Here’s how it works:
After we receive the final product of the sprint (a new version of our mobile game!), we create a reddit thread for it on r/RawrForAReason. We start with congratulating and thanking our team, and a few updates. We include notes on Team Lessons, Key Player Insights, Sprint Goals, and Feedback/Testing Focuses. The comments are open to our team and testers who play the game and provide feedback on the product. Reddit is a great tool to allow our community to provide feedback collaboratively while still maintaining integrity and organization of the master post and responses. Currently the r/RawrForAReason subreddit is invite only while we continue to cultivate our system, but we look forward to sharing our processes with our fans when our first game is released!
Thank you for your patience, support, and excitement! We couldn’t do it without our community and are grateful for every single one of you. RAWR!
